My name is Claudio Peña Plaza and I have been working at the Chile branch of Major Drilling for about three years. I have been working as a Driller/Machine Operator since February 2010.

What I like most of working for Major is that we have a great team! I like everything of my country. The desert is what I like the most; the countryside of Copiapó and Antofagasta, the ponds, the “Salares”, the “Valle de La Luna” etc.
Note: Claudio and other members of our Chilean crew were thrilled to be able to help out with determining the location of the trapped miners in August near Copiapó.

I am Nguyen Do and I have worked for Major Drilling in the American office for the past 18 and a half years. I work on marketing our business to customers and on accounts receivable. The most enjoyable part of my work is interacting with people, whether it is customers, vendors or co-workers. I was born in Vietnam, but have since lived in California, Texas and Utah.

In my spare time, I like to spend time with my family and golf (with close friends).

Job Title: Regional IT Manager
My name is Naas Ferreira. I have been the Regional IT manager in the Africa branch of Major Drilling for a little over three years. I work out of the Windhoek office in Namibia but frequently travel to South Africa and Tanzania, helping colleagues to get the most out of the technology and information age.

During my time with Major I have met some great people who have made a lasting impression on me. So many people ensure that the Company’s wheels keep on turning - doing creative work, designing and making gadgets that give us the edge and create a safe working environment. They are my friends, and the salt of the earth!

I am studying and working towards a Master’s degree in Business Administration. Thereafter I have set my sights on a Ph.D. degree in Business Informatics. With this in mind, I hope to make a difference in the Company.

I have worked in the Mendoza, Argentina office of Major Drilling for seven years. Starting out as the receptionist, I now work as the accounts payable supervisor, and have a degree in business administration and marketing.

I enjoy working with the rest of the accounting team and members of the Mendoza office. In my free time I like to spend it with my husband, one year old daughter and my parents.

I want to encourage you to come visit us in Argentina and enjoy our mountains, the sea, professional sports, vineyards, our famous barbeques, empanadas and a mix of cultures. And, we’d love to teach you the tango!

I have been with Major Drilling Group International Inc. for the past 5 years in the Moncton office. I currently hold the position of Corporate Controller.

What I love most about working for Major Drilling are my colleagues. Also, my work always presents a new challenge and sometimes I get to travel. This has given me the chance to see parts of the world that I never would have experienced otherwise.

If I could have my dream car it would be a white Lamborghini. An exact replica of the one that was on a poster on my bedroom wall when I was a kid!

I work out of the Sherwood, Oregon branch of Major Drilling. I have been with Major for 5 months working as an environmental driller’s assistant.

I like the physical aspect of my work – working outdoors and I also enjoy my co-workers. In my spare time I like to work out, bowl, play basketball and tennis.

Hi, I am Denis Boucher; I have been the Branch Manager of Major Drilling Suriname for a little over a year. I started out with Major in 1989 doing field work in South America and Africa. I love the challenge of working with co-workers and customers in different countries around the world.

Most of you might be surprised that I have over 21 years of drilling experience. And, the word that describes me best is patient!

I am Boldo Tulga, and I work in the Mongolia UB office as the Logistics Coordinator.

I have worked for Major Drilling for eight years. It is a good team, and I have good work mates. We have worked through many challenges together over the years, and I am very lucky to feel like we are one big family.

Something you might not know about me is that my dream car would be a Russian Military car known as the “Tiger”.

I am the one and only, Bernadette Rauch.

Greetings everyone from the very famous South Africa! I have been working for Major Drilling since it was established in South Africa, 4 years ago. I am the Administrative Manager attending to all administration and payroll matters for the South African Office based in Centurion.

What I like most about Major Drilling is that there is always a calm and relaxed environment. The one thing that would surprise people about me is that I grew up next to a drill rig since I was very small in gumboots and overalls. Who would have thought that I’d find myself working at a drilling company years after that?
